A man riding a scooter has died after colliding with a car in suburban Melbourne.
The motorised scooter collision happened in St Albans, in the city’s outer northwest, on Thursday, about 4.40pm.
“Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have been told a man was riding the scooter along Arthur Street when it appears he collided with a vehicle,” the police said on Saturday.
“The rider, a 45-year-old St Albans man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“The man died in hospital as a result of his injuries.”
Investigations into the collision are ongoing and investigators will prepare a report for the coroner.
