Walyalup (Fremantle) speedster Michael Frederick had to be subbed out in the opening minutes of his side’s clash with Euro-Yroke (St Kilda) following a massive collision with Jimmy Webster.
Frederick was working back with the flight in an effort to mark a ball at half-forward in the initial stages of the Marvel Stadium clash.
But he was met firmly by Webster, who appeared to be fairly in the marking contest, before landing firmly on the turf.
Play continued as medical staff attended to Frederick, who remained down for around a minute before jogging off to undergo a concussion test.
The Dockers made the call late in the opening term to activate substitute Tom Emmett, with Frederick ruled out of the game.
Webster made just his third start of the year following his seven-match pre-season suspension for taking out St Kilda’s Jy Simpkin.
