PETALING JAYA: National squash player S. Sivasangari has finally made it – she is now ranked 10th in the world for the first time.
The 25-year-old London Classic winner reached her career-high ranking in the latest update from the Professional Squash Association (PSA) after moving one rung from the 11th spot.
Sivasangari was over the moon for making into the top 10 list sooner than expected.
“This would be impossible without the support of my incredible team who has pushed me, encouraged me, and stayed by me through my highs and lows,” she posted on social media
“More determined than ever to keep pushing and enjoy each step of the process.”
Proud of her achievement, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh also cheered Sivasanagri on, via X, saying, “On the Road To Gold! Keep going!”
