A Dayton mom is demanding answers after she said her 13-year-old daughter was jumped and beaten in a park over the weekend.
As reported on News Center 7 at 5:00, Lindsey Sommers said the attack left her daughter with several potential fractures.
She said the incident happened at Washington Playground on Dayton’s east side off Woodley Avenue.
“It baffles me, I was speechless, it was hard for me to look at my daughter, not knowing what was done to her physically, mentally,” Sommers said.

She says she met her daughter at that friend’s house after the attack and took her straight to Children’s Hospital.
The young teen is now wearing a neck brace because of concerns over possible head, neck or shoulder injuries, even possible fractures. She also has bruises all over her body.

Sommers says the 17-year-old girl stomped on her daughter after knocking her to the ground. She was quick to point out her daughter did not know her attacker.
She’s worried other young teens are in danger.
“And then I put her on Facebook and I got a lot of responses that she’s bullied other girls younger than her for no reason, there’s no reason behind this,” Sommers said.
Sommers said she did file a police report about the incident while at the hospital.
