The Poco F6 will be launched on May 23 in India. Barring the price, thanks to all the teasers from the company, we pretty much know everything about the phone at this point. Poco is also one of the first smartphones in India to come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Poco has also confirmed several details about the display, battery, chipset and design of the upcoming Poco F6.
Poco F6: Battery, chipset, design
Under the hood, the Poco F6 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 boasts a 4nm fabrication process and has achieved an impressive score of over 1.5 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark test, claims the company. It features a high-performance Cortex-X4 flagship core and an Adreno 735 GPU, ensuring smooth and lag-free performance. It is also the first phone in India to pack the new Qualcomm chip.
The Poco F6 5G will sport a dual-rear camera setup, headlined by a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
Furthermore, the Poco F6 has also been confirmed to feature a big 5,000mAh battery, accompanied by 90W turbocharging support. Poco claims that the F6 can charge from 2 per cent to 100 per cent in approximately 35 minutes using the 90W charger, thanks to the ‘Boost charging speed’ feature.
Poco has also teased the design of this launched device via its social media channels. The design is not largely changed as it also has two big camera sensors at the back with curved edges and a boxy design, just like the other Poco mid-ranged phones.
Poco has recently also been teasing about the smartphone’s display. The company hasn’t revealed anything specific about it, but in the most recent teasers, Poco has been referring to the Poco F6 display as being “unparalleled”. That’s typical marketing lingo, we will really know about the display when we have more information.
Poco F6: Pricing
The Poco F6 is expected to cost below Rs 40,000 in India. While the price has not been declared yet, the assumption is based on the appearance of Poco F6 Pro listed on Amazon at EUR 619 (approx Rs 55,800) for 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model. Also the Poco F5 was launched at the initial price of Rs 29,999 and traditionally the new model should be sold at a higher price than the previous one.
Additionally, while we have no confirmation about it yet for the Indian market, but Poco Global has also been teasing the Poco F6 Pro and the Poco Pad –– which will be the company’s first-ever tablet. No such information has been shared by Poco India yet.
