Addin Fonua-Blake has been stood down by the Warriors, after he left the sheds early following his side’s Magic Round win over Penrith and skipped the team song.
Warriors coach Andrew Webster made the call on Thursday to stand Fonua-Blake down for a breach of club standards.
The prop will miss Sunday’s clash against the Dolphins
In a club statement, the Warriors said Fonua-Blake had removed himself from the dressing rooms and missed Webster’s post-match address and the team song.
“This doesn’t meet our standards and Addin accepts full responsibility for his behaviour,” Webster said.
Fonua-Blake has been the Warriors’ best forward this year, averaging 177 metres per game after driving the team to last year’s preliminary finals.
He will leave the club at year’s end, after requesting a move back to Sydney and signing with Cronulla for 2025 and beyond.
