Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is on his way to Northern Ireland.
It follows his announcement of a general election for 4 July, earlier this week.
Mr Sunak travelled to England, Scotland and Wales on his first day of election campaigning.
Addressing a distribution centre in Derbyshire, he said he had a “clear plan” for financial stability.
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer kicked off his campaign at Gillingham Football Club in Kent where he said a vote for Labour was a vote to “turn the page”.
On Thursday, Northern Ireland’s political parties set out their stalls ahead of the summer election after Wednesday’s announcement.
