FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 32-year-old has been arrested after allegedly attempting to meet with a child for sexual purposes, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies say on Thursday, members of the Central Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force contacted the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Brock Sanders of Fresno, who had an active arrest warrant for contacting a child for sexual purposes.
Sheriff’s officials say whether the man was able to meet with the minor is still under investigation.
Detectives say they seized one of his electronic devices containing digital photos and videos of child sexual abuse material.
Deputies say the man was arrested, but has since been released from jail after posting bail.
Authorities wanted to remind parents to be vigilant when it comes to their children using websites and social media outlets, as well as advise them to keep dialogue open with their children to build trust.
