Filmmaker Karan Johar turned 52 on Saturday, May 25. On the special occasion, his close friends Tanya Dubash and Kajal Anand hosted a party for him. It was attended by Karan’s close friends in the film industry, including actors Anil Kapoor and Kajol, as well as Natasha and Adar Poonawala. Various pictures of celebrities arriving at the party were shared on social media.
Film director-choreographer Farah Khan, who shares a close bond with Karan and often takes a dig at his fashion sense, also came to make the day special for Karan. She was dressed in a black and blue dress and waved at the photographers before entering the party. Kajol looked smart in an off-white dress. Anil looked dapper in black as he arrived for the party along with his wife, Sunita Kapoor.
Karan also attended the party wearing a black suit. According to reports, it was a surprise party for the filmmaker, and he only found out about it on Friday, May 24.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar is looking forward to the release of his next production, ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’. The film, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is set to release on May 31. The filmmaker returned to directing last year with his film, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. Headlined by Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, the film became a commercial hit.
Recently, Karan reunited with his close friend Shah Rukh Khan after eight years as they shot for a TV commercial together.
