ST. LOUIS. x–15s. The St. Louis Cardinals rallied in the eighth inning to beat the Chicago Cubs 7-6. Matt Carpenter had a pinch-hit single to tie the game for the Cardinals. He says it meant a lot to have the opportunity to contribute in a high-intensity game.
