MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Crews with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) were at the scene of a crash and subsequent fire Sunday night.
The crash happened at around 9:30 p.m. on Clara Barton Parkway in the area of Sangamore Store between MacArthur Boulevard and the D.C. line. Four cars were involved in a crash there, one of which caught on fire.
Pete Piringer, an MCFRS spokesman, said in a post on X that all of those who were inside the burning car were able to get out.

Crews extinguished the car and surrounding brush fires by 9:41 p.m.
Multiple people were treated by paramedics at the scene. Three people were taken to the hospital, one of whom was seriously hurt.
Both directions on the Clara Barton Parkway were closed to traffic.
