7 Years of Sachin: A Billion Dreams: Producer Ravi Bhagchandka says, “It took me 24 months to start the project”
Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Bhagchandka shared, “It took me a lot of time to convince him since I didn’t know him well. I had to contact my coach Paras Mamre, who was his childhood friend, and he got in touch with his team. I even chased his manager for around 8-10 months. It took me an additional 8-9 months to present the idea to him. In total, it took me approximately 24 months to start the project.”
Besides the interview, Ravi also dedicated a social media post to celebrate the milestone. “Master, as we fondly call him, has been the biggest inspiration, our childhood hero. Bringing the story of this legend to life as an autobiographical documentary has been the most challenging yet rewarding decision. He has been a ray of hope for a billion, the God of cricket,” read an excerpt of his post.
Speaking of the professional front, Ravi is currently gearing up for his next project, Sitare Zameen Par, in association with Aamir Khan. Reportedly, the forthcoming film revolves around Down Syndrome and is set to release on Christmas with Genelia D’Souza as the female lead.
