Emergency crews are struggling to access a remote village in Enga Province in the north of Papua New Guinea where a landslide is believed to have killed more than 100 people, according to the PNG Red Cross Society. The disaster hit the village of Kaokalam at approximately 3 a.m. local time on Friday, leaving a scar of debris that humanitarian workers say is as big as four football pitches.
