Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor recently made waves with her stunning fashion choices during the promotions for her upcoming film Mr & Mrs Mahi. On Monday, Janhvi was seen embracing her cultural roots during a recent visit to a temple in Chennai. Accompanied by a family member, she paid her respects at the Muppathanam temple, a place that held significant sentimental value for her. This temple was one of the favourite spots of her late mother, the legendary actress Sridevi.

Janhvi opted for a traditional half-saree, looking every bit the quintessential Indian beauty. The half-saree, a classic piece of South Indian attire, added to her grace and poise. Sharing a photo with her family member, she wrote, “Visited Muppathanam temple for the first time [heart emoji]. Mumma’s most favourite place to visit in Chennai.”
For the visit, Janhvi looked breathtaking in an Arpita Mehta custom ensemble. Styled by Ami Patel, the soon-to-be-launched outfit featured a coconut pine floral print skirt, complemented by a mirror and thread hand-embroidered blouse and a dupatta.
Mr. & Mrs. Mahi boasts an impressive ensemble cast beyond the lead actors. Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab, and Purnendu Bhattacharya all play pivotal roles in the film.
Directed by Sharan Sharma, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar. Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta of Dharma Productions. The film arrives in theatres on May 31, 2024. This film marks the second collaboration between Kapoor and Rao, following their appearance in the 2021 horror-thriller Roohi.
For Janhvi Kapoor, the future holds the romantic comedy film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari where she shares screen space with Varun Dhawan. She is also venturing into Telugu cinema with her debut in Devara: Part 1 opposite Jr. NTR, followed by an untitled film alongside Ram Charan.
