A Virgin Australia flight from Perth to Melbourne had to make an unexpected return after a passenger caused chaos by stripping naked and running through the aisle. The incident, which occurred soon after flight VA696 took off, left passengers and crew in shock.
The unruly passenger, whose identity remains undisclosed, began acting oddly by removing his clothes and sprinting up and down the plane’s aisle. He even banged on the cockpit door and knocked over a flight attendant in his frenzy. This disruptive behavior forced the pilot to turn the plane back to Perth.
Upon landing, the plane was met by police officers who arrested the man, according a report by the New York Post. One passenger told Australian radio station 3AW, describing how the man “suddenly went bananas,” creating a chaotic and alarming atmosphere on board.
Virgin Australia confirmed the incident and the arrest, thanking the passengers and crew for their patience and cooperation during the disruption.
