The Dolphins host the Canberra Raiders on Saturday night (7.35pm AEST) in a rematch of one of the most thrilling games of last season, when the Raiders claimed a 31-30 nailbiter in Wagga Wagga.
Both teams enter the game in the top eight – the Phins in fourth and Canberra right on the fringe in eighth spot – and for the Dolphins, it’s a crucial chance to rediscover form ahead of looming matches with the ladder-leading Sharks and third-placed Melbourne.
As with all the sides in action this weekend, Origin selections have had an impact on the squads: Wayne Bennett’s team are without Queensland duo Felise Kaufusi and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, while the Raiders are missing gun second-rower Hudson Young in Blues camp.

The Dolphins are also without star half Kodi Nikorima (calf), meaning Anthony Milford starts at five-eighth as the off-contract 29-year-old fights for his future.
Josh Papali’i returns from suspension for Canberra and will start as he closes in on the 300-game milestone, while all eyes will be on Dolphins fullback Trai Fuller who has been excellent this season when deputising for Tabuai-Fidow.
