Even after registering very good footfalls on Friday when a large volume of audiences had already watched the film on reduced ticket rates of just Rs. 99, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi managed to keep the momentum on Saturday as well. The collections were of course going to dip on the second day with ticket rates going back to normal. Also, a substantial portion of Saturday audience has anyways watched the film on Friday. Still, there was newer audience base explored on Saturday which came due to positive word of mouth and that resulted in numbers coming in.

The film collected Rs. 4.65 crores more on Saturday and compared to Rs. 6.85 crores which had come on Friday, this is fine indeed. In fact, to think about it, had this been a regular release and numbers would have flipped on both the days, then Rs. 4.65 crores coming on Friday would have been considered quite good too and then a jump towards Rs. 6.85 crores mark on Saturday would have made everyone associated with the film happy. Yes, in such a scenario, Sunday collections would have turned out to be even better as they would have come off a higher Saturday but now the number would be lesser since it would coming off a lower day.

Nonetheless, it’s all still going positive for the Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer, what with Rs. 11.50 crores already in its kitty and at least Rs. 5 crores more set to be added to this number. While that would mean a good enough weekend, it would all boil down to Monday hold from there, which in current situation seems to be set in the right direction.
