‘They’re drowning!’ Holly Valance hits back at Sunak after Farage warning: ‘They’ll say anything’ – MASHAHER

Holly Valance has brushed off Tory criticism of Reform UK after Nigel Farage made his election intentions clear.

The former UKIP chief will lead the insurgent party into the 4 July vote in a move that has sent shockwaves across the political sphere.

The announcement prompted a statement from the Conservative Party warning voters that backing Farage at the ballot box will only help Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.

Speaking on GB News, Valance said it is a show of desperation from Rishi Sunak.

“I think everyone is going to say everything that they need to when they’re drowning”, she told GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope.

Asked if she will assist Nigel Farage in his bid to win the Clacton seat, Valance said it’s something for her to consider.

“If he asks me, probably”, she said.

The Neighbours star then quipped: “Does anyone want to see me knocking on their door anymore? Maybe 20 years ago.”

Earlier today, Farage announced his intention to lead a “political revolt” as he committed to Reform for the long term.

Just days after announcing he will not be standing at the election, Farage U-turned by announcing he will be front and centre of Reform’s campaign, taking the reins from Richard Tice.

Farage, who has failed in his previous seven attempts to be elected to the Commons, said he had felt a “terrible sense of guilt” as he mulled over his decision.

He told reporters: “Difficult though it is, I can’t let down those millions of people, I simply can’t do it, it’d be wrong.

“So I have decided I’ve changed my mind, it’s allowed you know, it’s not always a sign of weakness, it could potentially be a sign of strength.

“So I am going to stand in this election.”

The Conservatives have warned voters that a vote for Reform risked helping Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.

A party spokesman said: “Nigel Farage risks handing Keir Starmer a blank cheque to rejoin the EU, impose the retirement tax on pensioners and hike taxes on hardworking Brits up and down the UK.

“Farage knows that Reform won’t win any seats, but he doesn’t seem to care that a vote for Reform only helps Labour. He’s doing exactly what Keir Starmer wants him to do.”
