The State’s corruption watchdog has confirmed it will “actively oversee” WA Police’s internal investigation into its handling of repeated warnings and requests for help from the family of Floreat murderer Mark Bombara.
In a letter sent Thursday – and seen by The West Australian – Corruption and Crime Commissioner John McKechnie wrote his agency intended to “exercise its powers” to “independently monitor and review the (WA Police) investigation”.
