Known for her versatile performances, Taapsee has made significant strides not only in Bollywood but also in the South Indian and North Indian film industries. Her journey to success is an inspirational one and apart from being successful in career, the actress also likes to dedicate equal amount of time to her personal life too.
Taapsee Pannu shares what fills her with pride; says, “When I say yes to a movie that nobody wants me to do I feel proud”
In a recent interview, when Taapsee Pannu was asked what fills her with pride – love, life, family, or career, her response was both candid and inspiring. She said, “It is easy for me to feel happy or proud. When I say yes to a movie that nobody wants me to do and I end up doing it, and it works… that makes me proud. Or even when there’s a film I am cast in which nobody thought I could pull off, it fills me with pride.”
Best known for her films like Pink and Manmarziyaan, was also a part of the Netflix film Haseen Dilruba which has now been developed into a franchise. In fact, the film, which also stars Vikrant Massey, will be having its sequel coming up – Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba which is slated for release soon with a few additions to the cast.
As for theatrical releases, the actress was last seen in Dunki alongside Shah Rukh Khan that further cemented her place in Bollywood. Elaborating further, she reflected on her career journey: “I think for a lot of films, I have not really been the first choice. For example, when Haseen Dillruba (2021) happened, I think people didn’t really expect to see me in that avatar. When I was cast in Dunki (2023), I don’t think anybody really expected me to be in that kind of film because I really don’t have access to or had been a part of that circle. So, these are the kind of things that make me feel proud that ‘okay you’ve probably done something right to reach here where you have’.”
