Veteran actress Farida Jalal recently spoke about losing touch with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. In an interview with India Today, Farida Jalal revealed the Khans are no longer in touch. While talking about Shah Rukh, she asserted, “No, I am not [in touch with Shah Rukh Khan],” and added, “He must have changed his number.”

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan and Farida Jalal shared the screen space in numerous films including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Despite the lack of recent contact, Farida fondly recalled a heartwarming gesture from Shah Rukh Khan. When she underwent shoulder surgery, he reached out to offer support and advice.
She recalled, “He called me out of the blue. I had a shoulder surgery done and I was consulting the doctor he goes to. He must have informed SRK. He called me and advised me. So sweet he was.” Shah Rukh advised Farida, “‘Farida ji, I have to tell you, yeh jo shoulder surgery hai na (this shoulder surgery), don’t get impatient. It’s going to take lots of time to get back that movement’”.
Farida Jalal also shared her experience of working with Salman Khan. Similar to Shah Rukh Khan, she expressed a desire to reconnect. “Salman, I had his number, we used to talk,” Farida revealed. “He must have changed his number as well.” Salman and Farida worked in films such as Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.
Speaking of the professional front, the 75-year-old actress was recently seen in Netflix’s web show, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
