The functional and sleek designs of Away luggage and the vibrant, feminine (and always striped) sensibilities of womenswear brand La Ligne come together in a new capsule collection that drops Tuesday, June 11.
On Tuesday morning, the brands celebrated the release with a campaign featuring Natasha Lyonne in a private residence in the Los Angeles hills (alongside a furry friend), eating Chinese takeout and lounging in the collection’s newest pieces. The photos were shot by Micaiah Carter.
The limited-edition capsule comes at the perfect time for summer travel, featuring updated versions of Away’s most popular items. The 20 piece capsule includes Away’s best-selling Bigger Carry-On and matching accessories, all in two seasonal colorways, Spritz, with vibrant orange stripes, and Cabana, featuring classic navy stripes.
In addition to new accessories, like the Sunglasses Pouch, the collection is rounded out with an exclusive 10-piece La Ligne assortment consisting of women’s, men’s and kids, including tees, lightweight knits, sleepwear, and more. Pricing ranges from $75 for the Marini Sweater (kids), through $250 for Bonne Nuit Pajamas.
“You know you’ve created something exciting when the design process is so organic,” Jen Rubio, co-founder and CEO of Away, said in a statement. “Bringing La Ligne’s signature stripe together with our signature products infuses a sense of fun into a collection designed to allow you to travel well.”
Molly Howard, co-founder and CEO of La Ligne, continued Rubio’s sentiments, saying, “We’re thrilled to unveil a capsule collection that seamlessly blends both brand’s classic styles to check off everything on your summer packing list.”
