Kangana Ranaut, an actor-politician, was involved in a disturbing incident at Chandigarh airport on Thursday, when she was reportedly slapped by a CISF constable during a security check. Ranaut, who had won the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, was on her way to Delhi for a meeting when the incident occurred. Several Bollywood celebrities have shown their support for Kangana. Karan Johar also reacted to the incident, during the trailer launch on his upcoming film.

Karan Johar is now preparing for the release of his forthcoming film Kill, which is produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. The film stars newbie Lakshay and is due to premiere in cinemas on July 5. Ahead of the film’s release, Karan Johar and the other crew members of the film attended a trailer launch event for Kill. However, the event took a serious turn when Karan Johar was asked to comment on the slap incident involving Kangana.
Addressing the media, Karan Johar responded to the question about the incident and said “I do not support any form of violence, verbal or physical.” His statement comes amidst widespread discussion and scrutiny over the altercation, which has been a hot topic in entertainment circles.
Talking about the film, Karan added, “Many action films are made, some are mounted on huge budgets. But when there’s a lot of thought goes in the action and there’s no VFX, we are hopeful that the audience appreciates it.”
