HBO’s “The Last of Us” scored two prizes from this year’s 2024 Rockie Awards International Program Competition, as announced Tuesday at the Banff World Media Festival. “The Last of Us” won for drama series: English language, and also picked up the Grand Jury Prize, which is selected from the top-scoring programs across the entire field of nominees.
Among other big winners from the U.S., Peacock’s “Poker Face” won for comedy series: English language, while Fox’s “The Masked Singer” received the honors for competition series/game shows. Also, Fox’s “Family Guy” won for animated series.
In total, 30 awards were bestowed in the category streams of Documentary & Factual, Arts & Entertainment, Children & Youth, Scripted, and Podcast, in addition to the presentation of several other Rockies Gala Awards.
