Jackie, who played Wing Commander Anand Bajpai in the film, shared a nostalgic video clip on his Instagram stories featuring his memorable scenes. He tagged his co-stars and included the hashtag #27YearsOfBorder, sparking a wave of reminiscing among fans.
Border 2 on the horizon
Adding to the excitement, the makers of Border announced a sequel on social media. Sunny Deol, T-Series, and JP Films officially welcomed Deol to the cast of Border 2. The caption hints at a continuation of a promise made 27 years ago, reading: “Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse.” (A soldier returns to fulfil a 27-year-old promise.)
Border 2: Bigger and more intense?
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta & Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 promises to be the biggest war film ever made in India. Directed by Anurag Singh and written by Nidhi Dutta (JP Dutta’s daughter), rumours suggest the story will revisit the Longewala conflict zone. Filming is expected to go on floors in October 2024.
