IPOH: The elderly woman, whose body was found in a house at Dataran Tasek Timur 5 in Bercham on Wednesday (June 13), was murdered.

“Initial check on the victim found injuries to her face and no other detectable external injuries.
“Following the post mortem that was conducted on Thursday (June 13) at 9.15am, the cause of death was determined to be ‘head and neck injuries due to blunt trauma’,” he said in a statement.
It was reported that the victim, 60, was found with blood all over her face and lying face down on the floor of the house.
The police had arrested the victim’s son on the same day to help with investigations.
ACP Abang Zainal Abidin said the son, 36, would be remanded until Friday (June 14).
“A background check on the suspect found that he has 11 prior offences on his criminal record, including eight for drug-related offences.
“We urge those with information about the murder to come forward to the nearest police station or contact investigating officer Asst Supt Fadli Ahmad at 019-250 0019,” he said.
“We would also like to urge the people to be patient on the matter and not do anything that is wrong in the eyes of the law,” he added.
