Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are slated to marry soon. While Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha hasn’t confirmed the wedding yet, Poonam Dhillon recently stated that she has got an invitation for the same. In a recent interview, Poonam gave her blessings to the couple and said that Sonakshi and Zaheer had sent her an amazing invitation.

Talking to Instant Bollywood, Poonam said, “I wish Sonakshi all the very best. She has sent a lovely invitation. I have known her since she was a little girl. I have seen her entire journey. I pray to God she stays happy. She is a lovely warm very loving girl. So, I wish her all the joy and happiness.” Poonam then looked at the camera and shared with a smile, “Please keep her happy, Zaheer. She is a lovely girl. She is precious for all of us.”
On Thursday, the digital invitation for Sonakshi and Zaheer was leaked online. The pair will celebrate their wedding in Mumbai on June 23. A friend of the couple earlier told Indianexpress.com, “From what I know, they may have already had a registered wedding, or may do so on the morning of June 23. But there’s not going to be any elaborative wedding as such, just a party.” In the digital invitation, which has a voice note by Sonakshi and Zaheer, the couple are heard saying that they had been together for seven years and shared, “We are making it official finally.”
Sonakshi’s family is yet to confirm her wedding. Sonakshi’s father, Shatrughan Sinha, previously told The Times of India that she had “the right to choose her companion” and he neither confirmed nor denied the news of her marriage. He also stated that if his daughter chooses to marry, he will back her decision. Earlier, her brother, Luv Sinha, stated that he was unaware of the wedding. He told ETimes that he had “no involvement in the matter.”
