Promising to feature the clash of the mighty titans in an all-new season of The Legend of Hanuman on Disney+ Hotstar, the new season aims at turning up the heat for its viewers. It will be showcasing Kumbhkaran unleashing his monstrous power, Indrajeet’s deadly schemes, and Ahiravan’s dark plans, while Hanuman empowers his powerful vanar sena for a battle like never before. Popular actor Sharad Kelkar is the voice-over artist behind Ravan in this series and recently, he shared his experience on what it’s really like to voice animated characters.
Sharad Kelkar shares his experience of dubbing for Ravan in Disney+ Hotstar’s The Legend of Hanuman; says, “Animation is tougher than dubbing in different languages”
Best known for lending voice to characters in several shows including the other Disney+ Hotstar animated show Baahubali in Baahubali: Crown of Blood, Sharad Kelkar also revealed the challenges and gave us a peek into how he brings these characters to life. Elaborating on the same, Sharad Kelkar said, “Animation is tougher to voice compared to dubbing projects in a different language because you have to assume everything and visualize everything: the characters, how they look, how they behave, their body language, the atmosphere, surroundings, backgrounds, and the other characters. You have to keep everything in mind, then visualize and dub in a studio. When you’re dubbing for a film in another language, there’s a visual in front of you and an actor for whom you’re dubbing, so it’s much easier.”
