India and South Africa are set to face each other in a full-fledged bilateral series. The tour starts with the 3 ODIs on June 16, 19 and 23 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Thereafter, the teams will lock horns in a one-off Test from June 28 to July 1 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Chepauk will also host the 3 T20Is from July 5 to 9.
India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, have named all their squads. Batter Jemimah Rodrigues and fast bowler Arundhati Reddy have been picked, but their availability will be subject to fitness. Hard-hitter Dayalan Hemalatha broke into the ODI squad after her impressive performances in the T20I series in Bangladesh. Priya Punia also made his India comeback after nearly a year.
South Africa will be captained by Laura Wolvaardt, who has been a prolific run-scorer for them across formats. Tazmin Brits has been picked but whether she will play or not will depend on her availability. Chloe Tyron, Ayanda Hlubi and Lara Goodall could not make the cut due to injuries.
