Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan pulled out all the stops to celebrate his mother Zeenat Hussain’s 90th birthday with a grand party on June 13. The event was a star-studded affair, bringing together close family, friends, and notable figures from the film industry to honour Zeenat’s milestone.

The celebration, held in Mumbai, was marked by an impressive guest list of over 200 people, with Aamir personally flying in guests from various cities across India, including Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mysore, Benares, and others. This effort underlined the importance of the occasion and Aamir’s deep affection and respect for his mother.
Among the attendees were Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan, his ex-wives Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta, and veteran actress Asha Parekh. Aamir and Kiran’s son, Azad Rao Khan, and Junaid Khan, Ira’s husband, Nupur Shikhare, were also present, making it a close-knit family gathering.
One of the highlight moments of the evening was the cake-cutting ceremony. A heartwarming photo from the bash captured Aamir, dressed in a white sherwani, assisting his mother in cutting a beautifully designed pink and white birthday cake. Standing behind them, Asha Parekh, Ira Khan, Kiran Rao, and other guests clapped and cheered, creating a festive atmosphere. In another touching moment, a candid photograph showed Aamir sitting on the floor next to his mother.
Ira Khan wore her wedding blouse paired with a cream saree for the party. She was seen cutting another cake, intricately designed like a teapot, with her mother Reena Dutta, grandmother Zeenat Hussain, father Aamir, and Kiran Rao looking on proudly.
Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla, Aamir’s co-star in many of the 90s films, also graced the event. Juhi shared her joy on Instagram Stories, posting a picture with Aamir and his sister and expressing her happiness at being part of the special day. Her caption, “So happy to meet all the family at Ammi’s special birthday!” encapsulated the sentiment of the evening.
