MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — A portion of I-565 eastbound closed for several hours after a wreck near Toyota Field this morning.
HEMSI spokesperson Don Webster told News 19 that a call regarding a vehicle crash came in around 6:26 a.m. Friday. Dan Pickens from Madison Fire & Rescue said it was a two-vehicle wreck in front of Toyota Field at exit 10.
Around 6:44 a.m., News 19 received an alert that the road would be closed for at least an hour. It reopened several hours later.
Webster said that both Huntsville and Madison police responded to the scene.
Pickens said one man had been trapped inside his car but was able to be taken out. He was then transported to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services and is said to be in stable condition with minor injuries.
