Corrective Services has split its youth and women’s departmental divisions, appointing an ex-WAFL coach and firefighter to lead the beleaguered juvenile justice system.
In a statement released on Monday, Justice Department director-general Kylie Maj announced the creation of the Deputy Commissioner for Young People within corrective services, to be filled by Department of Fire and Emergency Services assistant commissioner Rick Curtis.
