Kiwi UFC superstar Israel Adesanya appears to have confirmed his return to the octagon will take place in Perth, in a UFC 305 grudge match.
Adesanya has not fought since last September’s shock loss to Sean Strickland at Sydney’s UFC 293, with the two time middleweight champion taking time away.
Fox Sports Australia reported earlier this year his return fight, a grudge match with Dricus du Plessis, was being considered for the August 18 show in Western Australia.
And now the bout with legit bad blood behind it looks set for that show, with Adesanya posting a graphic on social media which hyped up his return – including details of the fight, against du Plessis on August 17 (US time).

The pair have been feuding since du Plessis claimed he was the “true” African fighter, an attack on Adesanya, who was born in Nigeria but grew up in New Zealand.
“Did those belts ever go to Africa?” Du Plessis asked.
“As far as I know, they came to America and New Zealand.“I’m going to take a belt to Africa.
“I’m the African fighter in the UFC.
“Myself and Cameron (Saaiman); we breathe African air.
“We wake up in Africa every day.
“We train in Africa, we’re African born, we’re African raised. We still reside in Africa, we train out of Africa.”
Adesanya later threatened to “drag his (du Plessis’) carcass around South Africa”.
Du Plessis claimed the middleweight title from Sean Strickland at UFC 297 via split decision back in January, and is yet to defend the belt.
