Actor Bhagyashree Limaye who we recently saw in Munjya, is getting good reviews for her portrayal of Ann in the trending series Sisterhood, produced by TVF, streaming live on Amazon miniTV. Known for her versatility and commitment to her craft, Bhagyashree takes on one of her most challenging roles yet in this new venture.

Bhagyashree revealed that the audition process for Sisterhood was rigorous and involved multiple rounds. Initially auditioning for different characters, she was eventually cast as Ann, a complex character described as sweet, innocent, and perceived as ‘dumb’ by others. “Ann believes she’s going to conquer the world, even though she’s struggling academically. The challenge was to portray a character who is unaware of how the world sees her, maintaining her innocence and confidence,” Bhagyashree shared.
Ann is the most innocent and optimistic member of the group. Despite failing her exams multiple times, she dreams of attending IIT or IIM. Her unwavering faith in God leads her to believe that minor rituals, like lighting candles, directly impact her success. “Ann’s innocence and unwavering belief in herself and God make her a truly unique and beautiful character,” Bhagyashree added.
Reflecting on her previous project, Munjya, Bhagyashree spoke warmly of her co-stars Sharvari and Abhay Verma. “Working on Munjya was a beautiful experience. We were like a family on set, sharing meals, stories, and pranks,” she reminisced.
Talking about her famous Marathi show Kande Pohe, Bhagyashree shared, “Maharashtrian viewers are familiar with Kande Pohe and loved the episodes. On the first day, Sharvari told me she had watched and enjoyed the entire series. Aditya sir, also a Maharashtrian, showed all the episodes to Abhay to help him understand Pune’s culture and my character. Abhay even memorized my dialogues, and it was amusing when he recited them to me on our first meeting. I’m thrilled the series was so well received.”
