AI apps have definitely been evolving quickly. AI-based app PadhAI scored over 170 marks out of 200 in the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024, completing the entire paper within just seven minutes. This unprecedented achievement places PadhAI among the top 10 scorers nationally, possibly even securing the top rank.
Developed by a team of IITians, PadhAI showcased its capabilities in a public setting immediately after the UPSC preliminary exam. The event, held at The Lalit hotel in Delhi, was attended by prominent figures from the education sector, the UPSC community, and media professionals.
The AI app’s performance was live-streamed on livestream.padhai.ai and YouTube, allowing viewers to witness this technological feat in real-time.
PADHAI SCORES OVER 170 MARKS
The AI app’s score, which significantly exceeds the general qualifying score of under 100, highlights its potential in revolutionising exam preparation and performance.
PadhAI’s answers were rigorously compared with those of broad AI models from major tech companies like OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google, using answer keys provided by leading coaching institutes.
It was also much higher than the average score bagged in this prestigious exam.
Karttikeya Mangalam, CEO of PadhAI, emphasised the significance of this achievement, stating, “This is the highest score achieved in the last 10 years of UPSC exams. We believe that while our event is first of its kind, in a few years, such events will become commonplace as several educational institutions race to solve papers quickly and precisely with AIs.”
REVOLUTIONISING UPSC PREPARATION
PadhAI is available on the Google Play Store and offers a suite of features designed to enhance UPSC preparation. These include news summaries, smart Previous Year Question (PYQ) search, doubt clarification, interactive answer explanations, and book summaries.
The app aims to provide comprehensive support to aspirants, leveraging AI to streamline and optimise their study process.
The success of PadhAI underscores the growing role of artificial intelligence in education. As AI continues to evolve, its applications in various sectors, including exam preparation, are expected to expand, offering new tools and methods to enhance learning and performance.
