In a candid conversation on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, Shetty refuted this perception, stating emphatically that it is “not true.” The actor, known for his roles in films like “De Dhana Dhan” and “Hera Pheri,” emphasized that he leads a life driven by emotional motivations rather than financial ambitions.

Shetty explained that his approach to life is simple and measured. “You will never see me driving four cars,” he remarked. “I drive one and I will enjoy it for two years. If I want a house, I want that one, I won’t settle for anything ordinary. When I can afford it, I will do the best.” He added that he believes in living within his means and doing his part to live a fulfilling life, crediting Goddess Lakshmi for blessing him with opportunities to grow.
The story behind the Khandala farmhouse
Reflecting on his cherished Khandala farmhouse, Shetty shared its sentimental value. Built 16 years ago on what was initially a bed of rocks, the farmhouse’s monetary worth was negligible at the time. However, Shetty’s vision was clear: he wanted a place where his children, Athiya and Ahan Shetty, could enjoy nature and engage in farming. “About 400 trees were planted there by me,” he recounted, highlighting the transformation of the land into a green haven.
Emotional investments over financial gains
Discussing his properties, including his Khandala farmhouse and his Altamount Road residence, Shetty underscored that these are emotional investments rather than financial ones. “I will never even sell it, so its value is zero from a price perspective. But from a personal perspective, it is priceless,” he said. Shetty’s goal has always been to create spaces where his family can feel happy and fulfilled, staying true to what matters most to him.
