Nawazuddin Siddiqui, renowned for his versatile acting skills, recently shared his experience working with Salman Khan on the sets of the blockbuster film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. In an interview with Zoom, Nawazuddin praised the film’s atmosphere and his co-star, highlighting the positive and enjoyable environment created by Salman Khan.

Challenging scenes and camaraderie
Recalling a particularly challenging scene where Salman Khan had to carry him, Nawazuddin described the difficulty due to the rough terrain and exhaustion, compounded by a lack of oxygen. Director Kabir Khan eventually instructed them to take a break, allowing them to sit down and regain their energy, which Nawazuddin found both relieving and enjoyable.
Positive set atmosphere
Nawazuddin emphasized the pleasant atmosphere on Salman Khan’s film sets, noting that the camaraderie extended beyond the scenes. “Yeh shoot amazing tha actually, Bajrangi Bhaijaan ka. Salman bhai ke filmon ka mohol bahut accha hota hai. We sit together and eat post shoot. (The shoot was amazing, of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman Bhai’s films are always fun),” he said. The shared meals and togetherness post-shoot contributed to the positive ambiance that Nawazuddin admired.
Kabir Khan on Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s sequel
In a separate interview with Connect Cine, director Kabir Khan discussed the possibility of a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. While there are no concrete plans at the script level, Kabir Khan mentioned various ideas and intriguing possibilities for continuing the story. He suggested that the sequel could explore “The Adventures of Bajrangi and Chand Nawab,” though he clarified that nothing has been finalized yet.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s role
In Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui portrayed Chand Nawab, a character inspired by a real Pakistani news reporter. Chand Nawab becomes an ally to Salman Khan’s character, Pawan, and assists him in safely escorting Munni, a speech-impaired young girl, back to her home in Pakistan.
Nawazuddin’s reflections on the shoot and his praise for Salman Khan highlight the collaborative spirit and enjoyable working conditions that contributed to the success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
