MOYOCK, N.C. (WAVY) – A Virginia Beach man was arrested on Thursday in connection with a road rage incident in Moyock.
According to officials, at 8:07 p.m. on June 20, deputies with the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2000 block of Tulls Creek Road for reports of a road rage incident with shots fired.
Deputies arrived to the scene and found two vehicles that were in a collision. One of the witnesses at the scene informed deputies that one of the drivers had fled the scene.
After a search with the help of K-9 units, deputies were able to locate the suspect, 27-year-old Michael Latham.
Deputies said Latham was arrested for a felony warrant out of South Carolina, where he was turned over to the Detention Center on a $250,000 secured bond.
The incident remains under investigation.
