As the Bihar Police began a hunt for Sanjeev Mukhiya, one of those accused of providing the leaked papers to the candidates, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday claimed Mukhiya has many political links.
He also said he would expose all links in the time to come.
“The investigative agencies are not arresting Mukhiya because of his political connections. I will expose his pictures with politicians in the time to come,” the former Bihar Chief Minister said while talking to reporters.
Also giving out a warning to the investigative agencies in the case, Yadav said, “They should carry out an impartial probe in the case before I make any big revelations. We won’t spare the ones found guilty.”
This comes a day after the RJD released the photo of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary with Amit Anand – an accused in the NEET paper leak case.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, talking to reporters on the matter, claimed Tejashwi Yadav’s Personal Secretary (PS), Pritam, was summoned for questioning by the Economic Offences Unit of the Bihar Police.
“Now, Tejashwi Yadav should explain the relationship between him and his family with Sikandar Yadavendu and Anurag Yadav (the arrested NEET candidate and his uncle).
Further, Sinha claimed Tejashwi had prior information about Yadavendu and that the latter served Lalu Prasad Yadav while he was in jail in Ranchi.
NEET-UG 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), took place at 4,750 centres in 571 cities in which more than 24 lakh candidates appeared. The results were declared on June 4.
However, immediately after the results were announced, students raised allegations of irregularities when 67 students achieved top scores, amidst claims of question paper leaks in Bihar.
