In a private ceremony held in Mumbai, Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha and her longtime partner Zaheer Iqbal finally tied the knot. At her wedding reception, the Heeramandi actor wore a red Banarasi silk saree. In addition, the groom decided to wear a white sherwani on the night of the celebration.
A glimpse into Sonakshi Sinha’s gorgeous wedding outfits
Sonakshi Sinha chose to wear her mother’s wedding saree instead of brand names and fancy clothing. Wearing a beautiful ivory saree, Poonam Sinha married renowned actor Shatrughan Sinha on 9 July 1980. Sona also made the same choice for her special day. However, during the wedding ceremony, Zaheer also wore a white ivory kurta. The actress matched her saree with a matching jewellery from her mother’s collection. She further accessorised her look with white flowers circling her bun.
The couple hosted a reception party for which Sonakshi wore a red silk banarasi saree flaunting her sindoor. For the hair and makeup, the actress was seen looking gorgeous in brushed eyebrows, bold liner and kajal alongside mascara-coated lashes. She added minimalistic blush and a nude shade of lipstick to complete her look. As for the hair Sonakshi chose a middle parted bun which was circled by white flowers giving her the perfect bride look.
After dating for seven years, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer had their relationship legalized. The pair appeared together in the movie Double XL, which came out in November 2022. The movie also starred Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi, who arrived at Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding as the first guest.
