Sonakshi Sinha’s recent wedding festivities were a celebration of love, tradition, and of course, stunning fashion. The actress got married to Zaheer Iqbal in a civil ceremony. While the wedding festivities involved immediate families and close friends, the reception saw the presence of 1000 guests. For the wedding ceremony, she wore a vintage chikankari saree passed down from her mother, which had a sentimental value, for the reception, the actress wore a traditional Banarasi saree. However, it was her third ensemble that truly captured the essence of the modern bride.

Titled “Into the Wilderness Zardozi & Cord Silk Kurta Set – Wine,” the outfit embodied a unique blend of tradition and contemporary style. Crafted from luxurious cord silk, the kurta boasted intricate zardozi embroidery that depicted lush tropical motifs. This fusion of classic Indian craftsmanship with a modern design aesthetic resonated perfectly with Sonakshi’s personal style. The outfit is priced at Rs. 2,55,000.
Sonakshi’s decision to embrace a red colour palette for this celebratory look held significant cultural meaning. Red is an auspicious colour in Indian tradition, symbolizing prosperity, good luck, and marital bliss. The vibrant hue of the kurta set undoubtedly added a touch of joyous festivity to the occasion.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have been together for seven years, as confirmed by the actress in her post on Sunday. Following their marriage, she wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife.
