In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Tahira shared insights into their relationship and the reasons behind their enduring bond.

Tahira on respecting individuality in a relationship
Tahira emphasized the importance of respecting each other’s individuality as a cornerstone of their relationship. “I was a strong-headed woman. I have always been one. I didn’t read much into what Ayushmann said. However, I must add that this is why we have lasted for so long. We both respect each other’s individuality. We have always done that and continue to do so,” she explained.

The couple started dating early in life, being each other’s first romantic partners. When asked if growing together makes a relationship easier, Tahira responded thoughtfully, “It can go either way. I am not a professional relationship counsellor and I have never had another relationship, so I cannot comment on that. But I think it all depends on how you are growing, and your interests. As you grow, you become your own person and develop different passions and tastes. With God’s grace, we have a lot of commonalities and enjoy common things. Apart from that, we also bond over our love for storytelling and our kids.”
She added with a laugh, “I must also add that I still find him funny. Many may find his PJs no longer hilarious, but I think they are amazing.”
Speaking of the professional front, Tahira Kashyap recently directed her first feature film, Sharmajee Ki Beti, which will premiere on Prime Video on June 28.
