A man has been arrested after he scaled a fence near Leeds Bradford Airport this afternoon.
Officers detained the man on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
West Yorkshire police were called 3.53pm today after a member of the public saw him climbing the fence.
The field was outside of the Leeds Bradford Airport’s perimeter.
A force spokesperson said: “Police received a call from a member of the public reporting a male had been spotted climbing a fence close to Leeds Bradford Airport.
“Officers attended the scene and a male was detained in a nearby field, outside the airport perimeter, on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
“The report was received at 3.53pm today (June 26).”
It comes after police arrested a man at London City Airport last week after allegedly trying to breach security.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at 6.45am last Friday following complaints about a man.
Multiple police vehicles were seen surrounding the terminal.
The Met engaged with the man until 9.30am.
He was arrested on suspicion of breaching security and public nuisance offences.

The airport is located in the Royal Docks.
A London City Airport spokesperson said: “We are aware of an incident on (June 21) with an individual where police were called and have since detained them.
“The airport is operating as normal.”
