In a recent episode of Bigg Boss OTT 3, Sana Makbul stirred the pot by confronting YouTuber Armaan Malik about his two marriages. The actress posed a challenging question, asking if Armaan would accept it if his first wife, Payal, decided to marry another man. “Role ko ulta kardo, Payal ji agar kisi aadmi ko laati, will you be okay with it (Let’s reverse roles. Would you be okay if Payal also gets another man in the house)?” Sana asked, highlighting a gender double standard.

Armaan’s reaction was swift and defensive. He replied, “Voh laake kya ghar mein rakhegi? Voh baad ki baat hai, inka koi jawab thodi hai (Will she stay at home with him? There are no answers to such things).” When pressed further, Armaan admitted that while Payal accepted his marriage to Kritika, he would not have been able to accept Payal marrying another man. “Payal ne accept kar liya, main nahi karta (Payal accepted it, I would not have done it),” he stated, adding, “Agar shaadi karke Payal laati hai kisi ko toh bhaiya tu apne ghar khush, main apne ghar khush (If Payal marries somebody else, she should stay with him).”
Payal’s emotional revelation
This confrontation comes shortly after Payal broke down in the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house, recalling the day she learned about Armaan’s second marriage to her best friend, Kritika. Payal recounted, “One day, I was out and Kritika and Armaan were somewhere together. They must have talked and decided to get married, and Kritika agreed. They got married and came back. I received a call saying, ‘Hey Payal, we have some good news.’ I immediately asked, ‘Did you two get married?’” Payal shared through tears, revealing her emotional turmoil.
The complex family dynamics
Armaan married Payal in 2011, and they have a son named Chirayu. In 2018, he married Kritika without legally divorcing Payal. Their unconventional family setup drew public attention when Armaan announced both Kritika and Payal’s pregnancies simultaneously in December 2022. Armaan is now a father to four children: Chirayu, Tuba, Ayan, and Zaid.
Addressing controversy
Before joining the reality show, Armaan addressed the controversies around his marital status in an interview with India Today. He expressed willingness to share his family’s story with genuine inquirers but warned he would not tolerate derogatory remarks. “If someone talks in a derogatory manner or chooses to pick a fight for no reason, then I’m capable of giving it back to them in the exact same tone and manner,” Armaan said, emphasizing his readiness to defend his family setup.
