Dharma Productions is back with a brand-new comedy film titled Bad Newz, aiming to tickle funny bones with a fresh take on the genre. This isn’t your typical sequel, though. The film takes things in a whole new direction, delving into the world of heteropaternal superfecundation. During Friday’s press conference, Vicky Kaushal fielded questions from the media, including the ever-present inquiry: when can fans expect baby news from him and his wife, Katrina Kaif?

Answering the question, Vicky Kaushal said in Hindi, “Abhi ke liye aap Bad Newz enjoy kar lo. But jab uska time aayega toh obviously we will share it with everyone.”
Eagle-eyed viewers have also spotted a surprising cameo by Katrina Kaif in the Bad Newz trailer. Vicky Kaushal’s character has a hidden tribute – a poster of the Bollywood superstar and wife adorning his wall.
For those unfamiliar with the term, heteropaternal superfecundation is a rare phenomenon where twins are conceived from different fathers. This unique premise sets the stage for what promises to be a hilarious and heartwarming cinematic experience. The trailer for Bad Newz recently dropped, generating significant buzz. Vicky Kaushal steps into the shoes of Akhil, while Triptii Dimri portrays Saloni, the woman at the center of the comedic whirlwind. Ammy Virk rounds out the cast as Gurbir, the other father in this unexpected situation. The trailer offers a glimpse into the chaos that ensues when Saloni discovers her unbelievable pregnancy. The unimaginable scenario of twins with different fathers throws her life, and the lives of Akhil and Gurbir, into hilarious disarray.
Directed by the multi-talented Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a collaboration between Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective. Produced by a team including Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari himself, the film is slated for a theatrical release on July 19.
