Centre asks for student and parent input on NTA reforms | India News – MASHAHER



NEW DELHI: The high-level committee on Friday sought suggestions and ideas from students and parents for reforming the National testing agency amid the NEET and UGC-NET row.
Earlier the ministry of education constituted a high-level committee of experts to ensure transparent, smooth and fair conduct of examinations amid the NEET and UGC-NET row.
The committee, headed by former ISRO Chairman Dr.K. Radhakrishnan, will receive suggestions and feedback through a dedicated website: https://innovateindia.mygov.in/examination-reforms-nta/
The public can offer feedback till July 7.
The committee will make recommendations on reform in the mechanism of the examination process, improvement in data security protocols and structure and functioning of NTA.
The committee will also conduct a thorough review of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Protocols of the NTA, and suggest measures to strengthen these procedures/protocols along with monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance at every level.
According to the ministry of education, the 7-member committee headed by former Isro chief Dr K Radhakrishnan, will submit its report to the ministry within 2 months.
