The morning after debuting in this year’s State of Origin and scoring a try for New South Wales, Latrell Mitchell has showed up for his community.
The Rabbitohs fullback ran a footy clinic in Taree for over 100 kids.
Instead of resting after an intense game of footy, the proud Wiradjuri and Biripi man caught a 6:30am flight from Melbourne to pay it back.
“6:30 flight in the morning… we committed. Good little clinic in Taree, great little turnout, very proud,” he said in a video posted to his social media.
“I love coming back… It’s good to get away, get a break – and to come to this just fills my cup up again,” Mitchell told Channel 9.
It equally meant a lot to the community for Latrell to show up for them.
“Shoutout to Latrell Mitchell. Played Origin last night, flew into Taree this morning for a footy clinic with 100+ kids… What a legend!”, local football club the Myall River Hawks posted to their social media.
