REVEALED: Eight key Reform knife-edge seats where Farage is on brink of snatching – MASHAHER


With less than a week to go until the general election, the latest MRP seat projection shows the key seats where Reform UK is fighting head-to-head with another party.

YouGov’s general election tracker projects four tossup seats where Reform is polling first but is trailed closely by either Labour or the Conservatives.


These seats include Basildon and Billericay, Great Yarmouth, Ashfield, and Louth and Horncastle.

In Basildon and Billericay, YouGov projects that Reform or Labour will take over the seat from the Conservatives with 29.6 per cent of the vote share sitting with Reform and 28.4 per cent with the Labour Party.

In Great Yarmouth, there is a tossup for Reform who are sitting with 36.1 per cent of the vote while the Labour Party sit at 31.2 per cent. The seat was won the by the Conservative Party in the 2019 general election.

In March, Lee Anderson defected to Reform from the Conservatives, becoming the party’s first-ever MP.

Anderson is standing in Ashfield, another constituency polling just ahead of the Labour Party in the polls.

Reform UK is sitting with 32 per cent of the vote in Ashfield while the Labour Party is on 29 per cent.

In Louth and Horncastle, the Conservatives are fighting to hold onto their seat as Reform is projected to take 35.4 per cent of the vote while the Tories sit closely behind at 33.1 per cent.

The only likely seat YouGov project Reform UK will win is Clacton, where Nigel Farage is standing as an MP.

LATEST NEWS:

In Clacton, Farage is sitting with 44.8 per cent of the vote while the Conservatives sit behind with 25.1 per cent.

The MRP poll is an estimate of what the range of results would be if the election took place today, based on current data.

In several other constituencies, Reform UK are polling closely in second place includingFolkestone and Hythe, Havant, and South Holland and The Deepings.

In Folkestone and Hythe, Labour are ahead with 32.4 per cent of the vote while Reform is in close second place with 28.1 per cent.

Meanwhile, in Havant, the Conservatives are maintaining their hold with 29.4 per cent of the vote share, but Reform is right on their tails with 29.3 per cent

In South Holland and The Deepings, the Conservative party are maintaining their hold with 32 per cent, but again Reform UK are just behind them with 30.7 per cent of the share.
