Actor Vidyut Jammwal recently opened up about the financial setbacks he faced following the box office failure of his film Crackk, which he also co-produced. Released in February 2024, the movie fell short of expectations, grossing approximately Rs 17 crores against a reported budget of Rs 45 crores.

Taking Responsibility
In a candid interview with Zoom, Vidyut acknowledged the financial losses incurred and his determination to overcome them. He stated, “I lost a lot of money (because of Crackk’s failure). The most important thing for me was, how will I deal with it?”
An Unorthodox Approach to Recovery
The 43-year-old actor surprised many by revealing his unique method of dealing with the financial and emotional stress: joining a French circus troupe. He spent two weeks immersing himself in the world of these exceptional performers, particularly a contortionist.
He said, “With losing money comes a lot of advice. People who’ve lost money in the past and friends who really care about you… It was important for me to disconnect from all the advice. After the release of Crackk, I joined a French circus and spent about 14 days with these elite human beings.”
Financial Recovery and Moving Forward
The Commando actor’s unconventional approach seemed to work wonders. He revealed that within three months of Crackk’s release, he was “debt-free.” While he remained tight-lipped about the specifics of his financial strategy, he did emphasize the importance of staying calm and executing a well-defined plan.
Crackk’s Performance and Future Projects
Crackk, directed by Aditya Datt, also featured Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi, and Amy Jackson. The film received mixed reviews and was edited for streaming and satellite release. He acknowledged the film’s pacing issues, admitting that the theatrical cut felt “a little slow” upon reflection.
