GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — It has been discovered that one unit and some common areas of the Ratekin Tower Apartments need to be closed for remediation.
This is not the first time such an issue has occurred at Ratekin. In 2019, 17 of their units tested positive for methamphetamine, and 10 of those tenants were directly connected to the substance.
Since then, Ratekin has improved its screening process and increased the Grand Junction Housing Authority’s contact with the residents.
This latest discovery was made as a result of a tip. The GJHA says it will continue to closely monitor any other activity, prioritizing the safety of their residents.
